IJill Field claimed her first collegiate victory and Minnesota scored a near-perfect 18 points to win the team title at Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Blugold Invitational at the Whitetail Country Club.

Minnesota claimed five of the top six spots and all nine Gopher runners finished in the top 20 among a field of 94 runners.

Competing without its top contingent of runners, Minnesota's 18 points easily bested second-place UW- Stout's 69. Host UW-Eau Claire was third in the seven- team field with 76.

Field's time of 18 minutes, 55.88 seconds was a career- best and gave her more than a five-second edge over teammate Rachel Domenichetti, who clocked in at 19:01.00.

A pair of frosh claimed fourth and fifth for the Gophers as Allison Mumbleau finished in 19:15.51 and Lindsay Feder was next in 19:21.23. Sophomore Tanya Prince rounded out the scoring, taking sixth in 19:22.84.

Minnesota is in action next Saturday, Oct. 9, when they travel to Ames, Iowa, to take part in the Iowa State Memorial Invitational.
