BRANAGH NAMED BIG TEN VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Minnesota junior outside hitter Nicole Branagh was named the Big Ten Player of the Week by the Big Ten Conference office Monday. It is the second award for Branagh in the last three weeks.

Branagh averaged 6.67 kills and 3.67 digs per game while hitting .367 in leading Minnesota to wins over Michigan and Michigan State. The Gophers are 15-3 overall and 6-0 in the Big Ten for the first time in school history.

The Gophers host Indiana on Friday at 7 p.m., and Illinois on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Sports Pavilion.
