SAUSKA AND SIMONSEN WIN DOUBLES TITLE AT UNLV

The doubles team of seniors Nora Sauska and Kim Simonsen won the Flight 1 doubles championship at the UNLV Invitational in Las Vegas. Sauska and Simonsen defeated Maria Galoustova and Ashleigh Dolman of Oklahoma State, 8-4.

In singles, junior Tammy Wang and freshmen Michaela Havelkova and Amy Thomas advanced to Sunday's finals. Wang defeated Marianne Bakken of UNLV in Flight 2, 6-7, 6-3, 6-1. In Flight 3 singles, Havelkova defeated Cameron Stoudt of Oklahoma State, 6-2, 6-0, while Thomas defeated Minnesota's Andrea Rose, 6-0, 6-1. Havelkova and Thomas will meet in the Flight 3 championship match.

Wang and Havelkova also teamed in Flight 2 consolation doubles to defeat Sylvana Navarro and Kathy Kniec, 8-0.
