GOPHERS FALL TO FIFTH IN WOMEN'S HOCKEY POLL

pFollowing a split of a two-game series at Providence over the weekend, Minnesota fell to fifth in the U.S. College Hockey Online poll this week. The Gophers had been ranked fourth in both the preseason poll and last week's first regular season poll.

Harvard remained first with New Hampshire and Brown in second and third, respectively. Northeastern jumped ahead of Minnesota for fourth place and Providence moved into the rankings for the first time this season in eighth.

The fifth-ranked Gophers will be at fourth-ranked Northeastern for a two-game series, Friday and Saturday. Both games are slated for 7 p.m. EDT faceoffs. Minnesota will return home the following weekend for single games against third-ranked Brown, Nov. 5, at 7:05 p.m., and top-ranked Harvard, Nov. 7, at 2:05 p.m.
