The rainy weather in the Chicago area on Monday morning forced a delay of over one hour in the start of the event. The delay forced most teams off the course before the end of the second round due to darkness. The 15 teams that were scheduled to play 36 holes Monday will finish the second round on Tuesday morning before completing play with 18 holes on Tuesday afternoon.
Two-time All-Amercian James McLean fired a one over-par round of 72 to lead the Golden Gophers. Senior All- American Martin LeMesurier shot a three-over par 74 and is in a tie for 26th place individually.
Stanford leads the team portion of the tournament after firing a six-over par score of 290. Toledo and Kent State are one stroke behind at seven-over par 291.There are six teams within three shots of the lead in the team competition.
Matt Krauss of Duke posted the best individual round of the day with a three-under par 68. Kevin Kornowa of Toledo is one stroke behind individually with a two- under par 69.
