HAUSER SHUTS OUT BULLDOGS 4-0 TO COMPLETE SERIES SWEEP

Minnesota goaltender Adam Hauser stopped all 31 shots he faced helping the Golden Gopher to complete a series sweep over the visiting UMD Bulldogs by a score of 4-0. It was Hauser's fourth career shutout.

The Golden Gophers got second period goals from Erik Westrum and Shawn Roed and third period goals from Nate Miller and John Pohl to complete the scoring for Minnesota. Miller and Roed assisted on two other Gopher goals to finish the night with three points each. Pohl added an assist to finish with two points on the night while Jordan Leopold added to assists to also finish with two points.

Three of the four Minnesota tallies came while they had the man advantage. Out of the nine Minnesota goals on the weekend, seven were scored in a specialty situations (six on the power-play, one shorthanded).

Minnesota goes on the road next weekend to play Michigan and Michigan State in the annual College Hockey Showcase.
