DUSTY RYCHART NAMED BIG TEN PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Texas-ArlMinnesota sophomore forward Dusty Rychart was named Big Ten Player of the Week for his performance in Minnesota's season-opening win against Texas-Arlington University on Saturday. It was Rychart's first time winning the award.

Rychart, a native of Grand Rapids, Minn., scored 22 points, including the first six of the game, and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead the Golden Gophers to a 90-62 win. He tallied a double-double by halftime (16 pts, 10 reb.). Rychart is coming off a freshman campaign where he averaged 3.8 points per game and 2.8 rebounds per game. It was his second double-double in as many games dating back to last year's NCAA tournament game against Gonzaga. He scored a career-high 23 points and pulled down a career-high 17 rebounds to lead the Golden Gophers in the loss.

The Golden Gophers will play host to Marquette on Tuesday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. and Morehead State on Nov. 27 at 3 p.m.
