LESNAR NAMED ALL-AMERICAN FARM TEAM CAPTAIN

marUniversity of Minnesota senior heavyweight Brock Lesnar was named the All-American Farm Team wrestling captain by Successful Farming magazine. This marks the second consecutive year a Golden Gopher wrestler has captured the honer with graduated senior Tim Hartung winning last year.
Lesnar, from Webster, S.D., was the 1999 Big Ten Champion at heavyweight and finished second at the NCAA Championships in University Park, Pa. He is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation and bolsters a flawless 8- 0 record thus far this season.
Joining Lesnar on the first team is Bob Greenleaf of Cornell University, Trent Hynek of Iowa State, Paul Konechne of South Dakota State University and Jody Strittmatter from Iowa.
The All-America Farm Team is a scholastic program sponsored by Dodge Truck and Successful Farming magazine, honoring outstanding collegiate athletes who call a farm or ranch home. This marks the fifth year of the All-American Farm Team's existence.
