SchoolUniversity of Minnesota women's golf coach Melissa Arthur announced the signing of Karen Quintelier of Monrovia, Calif., to a National Letter of Intent.

Quintelier, a senior a La Salle High School, is ranked No. 70 in the nation in the Golfweek/Titleist girls' amateur rankings. She is a three-time qualifier for the California high school girls' individual championships.

"I am very excited to have Karen join the Minnesota golf program," Arthur said. "Karen brings a very good national record to our program. She has played in tournaments all over the nation as a junior golfer and that experience is only going to help our program continue to move in the direction we want. Karen also competes against some of the best in the nation locally in her home area in California."
