MINNESOTA RANKED 18TH IN SEARS DIRECTORS' CUP

AthletThe University of Minnesota Men's and Women's Athletics Departments are ranked 18th with 76 points in the Sears Directors' Cup rankings by NACDA (National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics). The competition recognizes the finest all-around athletic programs (men's and women's combined) in the nation.

The standings are based upon the completion of women's and men's cross country and field hockey. The men's cross country team placed 15th at the NCAA Championships, while the women's cross country team placed 17th. Michigan is leading the race with 202 points, Arkansas is second with 190 and Wisconsin is third with 165. Rounding out the top five are Stanford in fourth with 155 and Colorado in fifth with 127 points.
