LITAL KASHRIEL WINS THREE EVENTS AT MINNESOTA CHALLENGE

ChallengSophomore Lital Kashriel won three events to pace the No. 14 University of Minnesota women's swimming and diving team at the unscored Minnesota Challenge on Saturday. Kashriel, a member of the Israeli national team, won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 59.04 seconds, the 100-yard backstroke in 58.48 seconds and led off the winning 200-yard medley relay (1:49.04).

Other Gopher winners were Katy Christoferson in the 400 individual medley (4:28.01), Shelley Miller in the 200- yard freestyle (1:58.17), Ashley Wallace in the 1,650- yard freestyle (19:11.89), Amy Mickschl in the 200-yard backstroke (2:06.79), Andrea Simakova in the 200-yard butterfly (2:03.35) and the 400-yard freestyle relay of Simakova, Kim Hamren, Jocelyn Pogue and Amy Miller (3:36.15).
