leNew Hampshire's Melisa Heitzman scored her second goal of the game at 12:37 of overtime to give the Wildcats a 3-2 victory and send them into the AWCHA title game.

Minnesota jumped out to a 2-0 lead as Nadine Muzerall scored twice in the opening period. Her first goal, at 12:48, came on a rebound as she picked the upper right corner from the slot and her second goal, at 17:42, saw her finish off a Jenny Schmidgall pass.

New Hampshire closed to within on with 3:15 remaining in the second period as Nicki Luongo's shot through traffic beat Erica Killewald and Heitzman tied the game at 8:26 of the third period, a period which saw the Wildcats outshoot Minnesota 19-4.

Minnesota got a break when New Hampshire's Brandi Kerns was whistled for cross-checking at 10:40 of overtime but it was Heitzman, after breaking into the Gopher zone 2- on-1 with Tina Carrabba, who got the overtime goal as she scored with three seconds remaining in Kerns' penalty.

In all, New Hampshire outshot the Gophers 42-28. Killewald had 39 stops for Minnesota while Alicia Roberts had 26 saves for the Wildcats.

The Gophers will face Brown in the third-place game of the AWCHA Championship, beginning at 4 p.m. at Mariucci Arena. New Hampshire will play top-ranked Harvard in the title game at 7 p.m.
