HARTUNG NAMED MOST OUSTANDING AND MOST VALUABLE

Senior Bart Golyer earned the Fraser Dean Award for the most courageous wrestler. Golyer placed fifth at the Big Ten Championships at 133 pounds. Senior Chad Kraft and junior Brandon Eggum were both honored with the most dedicated award. Senior Troy Marr earned the Chris Berglin Most Improved award after earning his first All-America honor with a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Championships at 149 pounds.
Senior Josh Holiday and junior Brock Lesnar were honored with the most exciting wrestler of the season award. Hartung and freshman Chad Erikson tied for the most falls award with 13 apiece. Lastly freshman Leroy Vega, who placed fifth at the NCAA Championships to earn his first All-America honor at 125 pounds, was named the Freshman of the Year.
