CAHOY, ZIELINSKI AND HARTUNG NAMED GTE/CoSIDA ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICANS

Cahoy, from Hudson, Wis., has held a 4.0 GPA all quarters of his college career with a double major in chemistry and biochemistry. He was a member of four Big Ten Champion relay teams this season and also earned first team All-America honors as a member of the seventh place 800 free relay team. Cahoy also recevied first team GTE/CoSIDA Academic All-America honors in 1998.
Zielinski, of Bloomington, Minn., has recorded a 3.67 GPA majoring in biology and pre-medicine. He was the 1997 and 1999 Big Ten Champion in the 100 fly and also earned first team All-America honors with a sixth place finish in that event in 1998. He is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and All-Big Ten performer. This is his first GTE/CoSIDA Academic first team All- America honor.
Hartung, of Durand, Wis., has a 3.24 GPA in kinesiology. He became only the second wrestler in Minnesota history this season to win back-to-back NCAA titles at 197 pounds. He also won his third consecutive Big Ten Championship and was named Big Ten Wrestler of the Year. He finished out the year winning 58 consecutive matches. He is also a three-time Big Ten Academic selection.
