Steph Midthun had two hits and scored two runs, while Erin Brophy hit her fourth home run of the season for the Gophers. Steph Klaviter needed only 69 pitches to win her 14th game of the season, allowing four hits and no walks over five innings.
The Gophers broke a 3-3 tie in the sixth inning with three runs to win the second game. Brophy singled in Amy Hafemeyer to give Minnesota a 4-3 lead, and Midthun drove in two more runs with a single. Earlier in the game, Brophy hit her fifth home run of the season. Midthun had three hits and a run scored to go along with her two RBI. Klaviter won the game, her 15th of the season, by retiring the final eight batters of the game. She has been Minnesota's winning pitcher in each of the last four games.
