Brittny Ralph and frosh center Jenny Schmidgall have left the team to pursue their transfer options. The department has fully released them to explore their options and has waived the NCAA one-year residency requirement.

"It's unfortunate that Jenny and Brittny have chosen to leave the University of Minnesota," said Halldorson. "They have both been assets to our team and we wish them well in their future endeavors."

This past season, the Gophers posted a 29-4-3 record and finished third at the American Women's College Hockey Alliance National Championship.
