SLOAN AND BARRETT WIN GOLD AT USA SWIMMING DISABILITY CHAMPIONSHIPS

CTeam Canada member Jessica Sloan and Great Britian's Elaine Barrett both won two gold medals in the final day of the USA Swimming Disability Championships held at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.

Sloan, a 16 year-old member of the Canada team, won the 100 meter breastroke in her disability class with a time of 1:18.82. She also won the 200 meter freestyle with a time of 2:22.10. Sloan was also a member of the 800 meter freestyle relay team that won a gold medal for team Canada.

Great Britian's Elaine Barrett also won two gold medals during the final day of competition. Barrett, a 22 year-old, won the 100 meter breastroke in her disability class with a time of 1:33.20. She also won the 200 meter butterfly with a time of 3:01.10.

Atlanta native Jeff Liu won the men's 100 meter breastroke with a time of 1:15.58. Also winning a gold medal for the United States was Jason Wening from the Ann Arbor Swim Club. Wening won the gold medal in the 1500 meter freestyle with a time of 18:48.65.
