The Oles, who placed their top five runners in the top 10, scored 29 points to take the team title, led by individual winner Christina Vetter. Minnesota was second with 84 points followed by Wisconsin-Stevens Point, which beat out Macalester for third via a tie-breaker, with 85 points and Wisconsin-Eau Claire rounded out the top five with 193 points.
Minnesota, running without its top group of runners, did not place a runner in the top 10 but Johnson took 12th, followed by sophomores Tanya Prince and Jenny Moylan, in 15th and 17th, and frosh Lindsay Feder, who placed 19th. Junior Rachel Domenichetti rounded out the Gophers' scoring contingent by placing 21st.
