BEUCKENS WINS TWO EVENTS AT WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS INTRASQUAD MEET

meetSophomore Megan Beuckens won the vault and floor exercise to lead the Golden Gophers on Monday at the annual Minnesota women's gymnastics intrasquad meet.

Beuckens won the vault with a score of 9.650 and the floor exercise at 9.575. She also placed second in the all around at 37.525 and tied for second on uneven bars at 9.625.

Freshman Jenny Alf won the balance beam with a score of 9.725. Junior Megan Skokut placed first on uneven bars at 9.70, while sophomore MaryAnne Kelley won the all around with a total of 38.375.

Minnesota opens the regular season Saturday, Jan. 8, as the Gophers host Auburn. Meet time is 7 p.m. at the Sports Pavilion.
