GOLD DEFEATS MAROON IN ANNUAL INTRASQUAD MEET

threThe Gold team defeated the Maroon team 143-100 in the annual Minnesota intrasquad women's swimming and diving meet at the University Aquatic Center/Dorothy L. Sheppard Pool.

The Gold team had three athletes win two events each. Senior Ann Cahoy won the 100 backstroke and the 200 backstroke, senior Tracy LaVoi won 1-meter and 3-meter diving, and first-year athlete Juleen Rodakowski won the 100 butterfly and the 200 butterfly. The Maroon team had one double-winner, as first-year athlete Carol Crouthamel won the 200 breaststroke and the 200 individual medley.

The Gophers will host North Dakota next Saturday at 2 p.m. in their first intercollegiate competition of the season.
