MINNESOTA MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY FINISHES 25TH AT PRE-NCAAS

NCAA disappointed Golden Gopher men's cross country team finished 25th at the Pre-NCAA Cross Country meet today in Ames, Iowa. The event was hosted by Iowa State University and is a trial run for the NCAA Cross Country Championship that will be held there in November. Many of the nation's top teams were at the event.
Junior Joe Corr was Minnesota's top finisher with a time of 31 minutes and 54.2 seconds in the 10K race. Sophomore Will McComb finished with a 32:16.1, a new personal best for him in a 10K race. His previous best was a 32:26 in the District V race last season. Sophomore Luke Mullranin rounded out the Gophers' top three with a time of 32:50.3 in his first 10K race.
The top team in the race was Colorado with a total of 64 points. Jorge Torres, a sophomore from Coloradom, won the race with a time of 30:31.1.
The Gopher were hoping to perform better int heis race to prepare them for post-season competition. Their next meet will be October 29 at the Big Ten Championship hosted by the University of Wisconsin.
