NOVICE ROWERS COMPETE AT LEMONHEAD REGATTA

behinMinnesota's novice rowing squad opened its 2000-01 season at the Lemonhead Regatta on Lake Lemon in Bloomington, Ind. The Golden Gophers' A and B boats tied for second in 18 minutes, 50 seconds, behind only Indiana's A boat in the Novice 8 competition. Minnesota's C boat placed seventh in 21:18.

In the Novice 4 race, Minnesota tied Indiana's B boat for third at 23:09. Marquette was first in 21:45 and Indiana A second in 22:09.
