GOLDEN GOPHER WRESTLING TEAM TO HOLD OPEN PRACTICE

GyIn conjunction with the University of Minnesota Wrestling 2000 Fall Coaches' Clinic & Workshop, the 2000-01 Golden Gopher wrestling team will hold an open practice Friday, October 20 in the Bierman Gymnasium in the Bierman Field Athletic Building. The practice, from 3-4:30 p.m., is open to the public and media.
The Fall Coaches' Clinic & Workshop features Golden Gopher wrestling coaches and support staff members, in addition to Brandon Slay - 2000 Olympic silver medalist (possibly gold medalist), and Gary Mayabb - U.S. National Team coach
The clinic and workshop, running through Saturday, October 21, will cover topics such as mental toughness training, marketing and promotion, wrestling techniques, strength and conditioning, program development, and more.
The event costs $50 per person for pre-registration or $60 per person at the gate. For more information, call 612-625-1013
