Freshman Jerilyn Glenn scored a pair of third-period goals and Minnesota overcame an early one-goal deficit to defeat Ohio State 6-2.

The Buckeyes jumped out to an early lead when Emma Laaksonen scored on the power play at 7:10 of the opening period, but Ambria Thomas and Kris Scholz scored period the period was over to give the hosts a 2-1 lead.

Ohio State limited the Gophers to just two shots in second period but one was a goal by Courtney Kennedy just 1:29 into the frame, which gave Minnesota a two-goal lead heading into the final period.

Glenn then sandwiched her two goals around one by Ohio State's Jeanne Chapple. La Toya Clarke's goal at 9:08 of the period finished the scoring.

Ohio State controlled much of the game, outshooting Minnesota 22-19. The Buckeyes also won 41 of 54 faceoffs. Gopher goalie Erica Killewald finished with 20 saves while Ohio State's April Stojak had 13.

The two teams meet again Sunday in the series finale at 2:05 p.m. at Mariucci Arena.
