GOPHER WOMEN HARRIERS SECOND AT MARATHON SPORTS OPEN

wResting its top runners, Minnesota finished second at the Marathon Sports Open on Saturday at the Les Bolstad Golf Course.
St. Olaf scored 19 points to win the meet while the Gophers were second with 37. Wis.-Superior was third with 87 points and Augsburg fourth with 108.
Kelly Faris of St. Thomas won the meet in 18 minutes, 37.7 seconds. The Oles then claimed the next four spots, led by Brigid Franey, second overall, in 19:15.0.
The Gophers claimed the sixth through ninth spots and added a 12th to round out their scoring. Christine Harper led Minnesota by placing sixth in 19:39.6.
