GOPHER WOMEN HARRIERS THIRD FOR FOURTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR

The top three, for the fourth consecutive year, were Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota. The Badgers claimed the top two individual spots and had five runners in the top 13 to score 34 points. Michigan scored 89 points for second while the Gophers scored 99 points.
Wisconsin junior Erica Palmer won her third consecutive conference title, defeating junior teammate Bethany Brewster by 20 seconds in 16 minutes, 44 seconds.
Minnesota senior Elaine Eggleston, a two-time second-team all-conference performer, earned first-team All-Big Ten honors by placing sixth in 17:34. Frosh Darja Vasiljeva was ninth overall and was the top finisher among first-year runners.
The Gophers have a week off before competing at the NCAA Midwest Regional in Waterloo, Iowa, Nov. 11.
