GOLDEN GOPHER HARRIERS PLACE THIRD AT MIDWEST REGIONAL

Will McComb lead the Golden Gophers with a ninth place finish and a time of 30:47. Junior Joe Corr finished not far behind in 12th with a time of 30:55. Both times were career bests in a 10K race for the respective runners. Junior Andrew McKessock and sophomores Neil Hanson and Luke Mullranin finished 22nd, 26th and 40th, respectively. Hanson's and Mullranin's times were also new career bests.
The top two teams and the top four individuals automatically qualify for the NCAA Championships to be held Monday, November 20 in Ames, Iowa. The Golden Gophers still have a chance to make nationals, however, as 13 teams will receive at-large bids. Two additional individuals will also be chosen to compete at-large as well, based on their times in the regional race. The at-large teams will be selected on Monday, November 13.
