MINNESOTA MEN'S SWIMMMING SIGNS ONE IN EARLY SIGNING PERIOD

MiGolden Gopher men's head swimming coach Dennis Dale recently announced his signee for the early signing period. Scott Young, from Denver. Colo., has signed a National Letter of Intent and will join Minnesota for the 2001-02 season.

Young attends Mullen High School and is a member of the Greenwood Tiger Sharks swim club. He is a strong backstroker who participated in the US Olympic Team Trials this past summer in the 200-meter backstroke. He is the defending Colorado State Class 4A Champion in the 100 yard backstroke and 50 yard freestyle.
