WRESTLING HOSTS NORTHERN IOWA IN HOME OPENER ON THANKSGIVING WEEKEND

eiThe second-ranked Golden Gopher wrestling team hosts the 15th-ranked University of Northern Iowa this Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Sports Pavilion.

Last year, Minnesota defeated the Panthers 27-6 as eight Golden Gophers won matches. Six Maroon and Gold wrestlers who won matches at the dual last season return this year - junior Leroy Vega (125), senior Brett Lawrence (133), junior Chad Erikson (141), sophomore Luke Becker (157), junior John Hardy (174), Owen Elzen (197).
