NO. 2 MINNESOTA WRESTLERS COMPETE AT UNI OPEN THIS SATURDAY

ApproxThe non-starters of the second-ranked Golden Gopher wrestling team, 2-0 overall, travel to Cedar Falls, Iowa, for the University of Northern Iowa Open this Saturday, Dec. 2 at the UNI-Dome.
Approximately 300 wrestlers from around the Midwest are expected for the 50th annual UNI Open, beginning at 9 a.m. Other teams expected to send representatives in the field are Iowa, Iowa State, UNI, Nebraska, Illinois, and Purdue.
Last year, Garrett Lowney< /a> at heavyweight and Damion Hahn at 184 pounds won the titles at the UNI Open. Matt Kraft finished third at 174 pounds and Jacob Volkman</ a>n took second at 157 pounds.
