8:Minnesota dropped its third straight game and fell into second place in the WCHA with a 4-0 loss at Denver on Friday night. The Golden Gophers were 0-for-9 on the power-play. The rematch is set for 8:05 central time on Saturday night.

Denver struck quicky as Erik Adams beat a screened Adam Hauser on the Pioneers' first shot attempt of the game. Chris Paradise, who scored a pair of goals, would put the lead at 2-0 with his first-period score.

The second period was more of the same as Matt Webber and Paradise struck again. Paradise's goal came on a Minnesota power play as goalie Adam Hauser misplayed the puck and the St. Paul, Minn., native stole it away and put it in the empty net.

Hauser was replaced in the third period by Pete Samargia who held Denver scoreless in the third period.

The Golden Gopher power-play was ineffective as Denver goalie sophomore goalie Wade Dubielewicz stopped all 33 Minnesota shots including third in the final period.
