MINNESOTA REMAINS 11th AFTER TWO DAYS OF THE TEXAS INVITATIONAL

The 18th-ranked Minnesota women's swimming and diving team remains 11th after two days of the Texas Invitational at the University of Texas. The Gophers have scored 87 points in the first two days of the meet.

Minnesota's divers have the best finishes of any Gophers so far. After Shannon Jackson finished seventh in 1-meter competition on Friday, Tracy LaVoi equaled the finish with a seventh-place showing in 3-meter diving. The Gophers' 800 free relay team of Dana Baum, Katy Christoferson, Arianna Gardner and Jinny Smedstad finished eighth in a time of 7:27.75. Stanford remains the team leader with 370.5 points, but three other teams are within 26 points of the lead.
