POST-MATCH QUOTES FROM SATURDAY'S NCAA TOURNAMENT MATCH

serMINNESOTA HEAD COACH MIKE HEBERT

"Arizona State gave us a taste of our own medicine. Amanda Burbridge created havoc for us with her serving. The credit goes out to her for pushing it. When she served the ball out of bounds in game four, we all took a breath, and that was a crucial point in the game. They had 12 aces at the end of game three, and none in game four."

"We were having problems with their inside two-set, so we adjusted and dug. That was nullified and neutralized. To hit .306 is incredible tonight. Nicole picked up her game throughout the night. She started timidly, and came back. Lindsey (Berg) got to some balls that brought me out of my chair. We blocked 16 to their seven, and this gave us the advantage. ASU played well, but now we get to go to Hawaii."

"A match in the NCAA Tournament can never be too short. We win 15-7, 15-6, and I think they were fatigued due to last night's match vs. Duke."

"It is nice to have Kelli Wicks back. When she steps on the court, she sparks the team. She is a strong factor on this team and is very talented at what she does."

"The ASU blockers released and double-teamed Steph Hagen. This left one blocker on Yvonne. I was happy about how Yvonne was swinging hard at the seams. It is good to see that our middles have returned to the match. Lindsey was connecting with both middles. Charnette had solid power hitting on both nights. The blockers look around and have to deal with her punctuation-mark hits."

ARIZONA STATE HEAD COACH PATTI SNYDER-PARK

"I thought it was an incredibly competitive match. There were long rallies, tough serving and good defense. We did go south in our passing in game four. It's tough being down two games to one and then come out and do that. Minnesota is a good team. They had passing problems, too, but you have to pass well to have offense. Blocking is important. Minnesota got in position and were set defensively. They won the majority of the rallies due to their block."

"I think we had a lot of energy. We just didn't have the passing to do anything."
