CURTIN EARNS THIRD ROOKIE OF THE WEEK HONOR

tMinnesota women's hockey player Ronda Curtin, a frosh center from Roseville, was named Western Collegiate Hockey Association-Women's League rookie of the week for the third time this season.

She guided the third-ranked Gophers to a 4-3 win and 2-2 tie at league-leading Minnesota-Duluth over the weekend, registering three points in the two-game series.

Curtin set up a pair of goals in Friday's 4-3 upset victory of the Bulldogs and also assisted on the game-tying in Saturday's 2-2 overtime 2-2. She has a nine-game point-scoring streak, during which time she has tallied seven goals and 21 points. Her nine power-play goals on the season are tops in the nations among rookies.
