GOLDEN GOPHER MEN'S GYMNASTICS FALLS TO MICHIGAN STATE

Leading the way for the Golden Gophers was freshman Clay Strother. Fresh off of setting a school record with a 9.950 on the floor exercise Friday night, Strother scored a 9.775 to earn second-place honors in that event on Saturday night. He followed that up with a 9.800 on the pommel horse, good for fourth place.
Senior Lindsey Fang bettered his career high of 9.825 that he set Friday night with a score of 9.875, good for second place behind Michigan State's Jon Plante who scored a 9.950 to win the event. Fang also scored a 9.400 to earn second place honors on the parallel bars.
The Golden Gopher's next dual meet will be on Feb. 19 when they travel to Columbus, Ohio to take on the Ohio State Buckeyes.
