Vega, ranked third in the nation, wrestled first at 125 pounds. The Portage, Ind., native defeated No. 7-ranked Steve Gardner of Virginia 9-4.
At 184 pounds, third-ranked Eggum lost to No. 1-ranked Cael Sanderson of Iowa State 6-1.
No. 1-ranked heavyweight Lesnar won his match over No. 6-ranked Bandele Adeniyi-Bada of Penn 5- 4.
Minnesota will travel to Michigan this weekend to face the Wolverines Friday night at 7 p.m. and then will wrestle Michigan State Sunday at 1 p.m.
