WOMEN'S GOLF IN EIGHTH PLACE AT RAINBOW INVITATIONAL

afteMinnesota is tied for eighth place at 643 after the second day of competition at the University of Hawaii's Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Honolulu. The Gophers recorded a 317 in the second round after a first-day total of 326.

Junior Katie Bakken is leading the Golden Gophers with a two-day total of 156, which is tied for 17th. Sophomore Megan Stier is one stroke behind at 157. Junior Jenny Bruun (161) and freshman Karyn Stordahl (169) round out the scoring.

Pepperdine is leading the tournament at 585, led by individual leader Lindsey Wright's 1-under-par 143. The tournament concludes on Thursday.
