WOMEN'S GOLF FINISHES EIGHTH AT HAWAII

BaMinnesota placed eighth at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Honolulu. The Golden Gophers shot a 307 on the third day to finish at 950.

Junior Katie Bakken led Minnesota with a 14th-place finish at 229. She shot a 1-over-par 73 in the final round. Sophomore Megan Stier was 29th at 236. Junior Jenny Bruun (242) finished 40th, while freshman Karyn Stordahl and sophomore Cindy Cannon tied for 48th at 247.

Arizona made up a nine-stroke deficit to win the tournament by two, finishing at 883 to Pepperdine's 885. Arizona had the top two individual finishers as well, Cristina Baena and Jenna Daniels, who tied for the win at 213. Baena won a two-hole playoff.
