GOPHER GOLFERS FINISH 10TH IN NORTH CAROLINA TOURNAMENT

Wake Forest claimed the team title after a final round nine-under par 279 pushed them past day one leader North Carolina State. The Wolfpack were four shots back, with North Florida finishing six shots off the pace in third position.
Freshman Wilhelm Schauman led the Golden Gophers with an even par score of 72 on Saturday, good for a two-over par total of 218 and a 14th-place finish individually. Chris Wisler of East Tennessee State walked away with the individual crown by firing three rounds in the 60s for a 54-hole total of 10-under par 206.
