WOMEN'S ATHLETICS' TEXAS TUXEDO SET FOR MAY 4

The Hilton ballroom provides the setting as guests step out of Minnesota for the evening and hit the trail for their Texas Tuxedo II experience. A reception and silent auction kick off the festivities and will be followed by an authentic Texan dinner created the award-winning Hilton catering staff.
A highlight of the evening will be the live auction. Texas Tuxedo II attendees will have the opportunity to bid on a number of fabulous items, among them a trip to NFL Pro Bowl in Hawaii, a Viking package that includes serving as honorary captains of a pre-season game and a brunch for 10 hosted by the Yudofs at their Eastcliff home. Now a Texas Tuxedo tradition, the evening will be capped off by a country western concert by up-and- coming artist Marcia Ball, who will delight the audience with her high-energy performance.

Fundraising efforts will benefit the Minnesota Women's Athletics Berg Scholarship fund and various Women's Athletics Department projects. Other Texas Tuxedo objectives include increasing awareness of the Department throughout the community, continuing to improve the position of the Department within the corporate community, retaining and creating new corporate sponsorship opportunities and cultivating new donors and volunteers.
