Individually, Northwestern's Josh Habig shot an 8-under-par 63 in the second round and has a two-round total of 136, one shot better than Jon Mills of Kent and Matt Lindholm of Texas A&M. The two top individuals for Minnesota are James McLean and Martin LeMesurier, who are tied for 21st at 143. Ben Meyers shot a 68 in the second round, the best round for any Gopher during the tournament.
The top 10 teams will advance from the 22-team NCAA Central Regional to the NCAA Golf Championships at Auburn, Ala., beginning on May 31. The final round of the regional tournament will be played Saturday.
