SCHMITT, CHIMKO COMPETE IN DISCUS AT NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

competitMinnesota's Aubrey Schmitt and Nicole Chimko both competed in the discus during the second of competition at the NCAA Championships in Durham, N.C.

Schmitt's throw of 162 feet, two inches was good for 15th while Chimko had a throw of 153-2 to place 18th. Schmitt entered the competition seeded 17th while Chimko was ranked 12th.

Both are scheduled to compete once more. Schmitt in the shot put on Friday at 6:30 p.m. EDT. Chimko is scheduled to compete in the javelin on Saturday at 11 a.m.
