KEISER NAMED MEN'S ATHLETICS PUBLICATIONS COORDINATOR

NortJeff Keiser has been named Men's Athletics Publications Coordinator at the University of Minnesota. Keiser replaces Mike Lockrem who resigned in June to take a position as the commissioner of the Northern Sun Conference.
A native of Avon, Connecticut, Keiser comes to Minnesota from Portland State University where he served as an Assistant Media Relations Director for the last year. At Portland State, Keiser was the contact for women's basketball, volleyball and softball, as well as being the athletic department's graphic designer.
A 1998 graduate of Penn State University, with a degree in journalism, Keiser worked as a media realtions/ publications intern at his alma mater for a year after his graduation. He also worked as a student assistant at Penn State while going to school, so he is no stranger to the competition of the Big Ten Conference.
"It is a great opportunity to move back to the Big Ten, at a prestigious school like Minnesota, " Keiser said. "I am excited to add my new ideas to the great staff already in place in the media relations office."
"Jeff will bring a lot of experience and energy to the position," said Assistant Athletic Director for External Operations Marc Ryan. "We are very glad to add him to our staff."
