GOPHER WOMEN'S GOLF LEADS LADY RAZORBACK AFTER TWO ROUNDS

GoThe University of Minnesota women's golf team is in first place after two rounds of the Lady Razorback Invitational, being played at the Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, Ark., on Monday. The Golden Gophers shot 308 in the first round, then 310 in the second to tally 618 and lead their closest competitor, Texas-El Paso, by three strokes.
Junior Karyn Stordahl leads the race for medalist honors with a 1-over par 145 after rounds of 70 and 75. Gena Johnson of Arkansas is currently second at 149, four strokes off the lead.
Three other Gophers are among the top 20 after two rounds. Freshman Tai Kinney is tied for eighth at 156 (79-77), senior Megan Stier is tied for 16th at 158 (80-78) and senior Cindy Cannon is tied for 20th at 159 (79-80). Completing the Gopher contingent is junior Kirstin Whalen, who is tied for 39th at 165 (82-83).
The 15-team invitational concludes with 18 holes on Tuesday.
