MINNESOTA WOMEN CONQUER IOWA STATE IN FIRST DUAL WIN

Junior Dana Baum picked up right where she left off last season. Baum broke the 200 (1:50.99) and 100-yard (52.34) freestyle meet records, as well as provisionally qualified in the 200 free for the 2002 NCAA Championships. Baum was joined by junior Keri Hehn, who broke meet records in the 100 (1:04.82) and 200 (2:17.98) breaststroke. Hehn provisionally qualfied in the 200 breaststroke for the 2002 NCAA Championships.
Also breaking meet records were sophomores Juleen Rodakowski, and Sarah Bohlsen, who set the 200 fly (2:03.68) and 100 fly (56.57) meet records, respectively. Junior diver Kim Bahmer qualified for the 2002 Diving Zones with her first place finish of 257.33 points in the 1- meter diving competition. Junior Holly Hanneman won the 3-meter diving with a score of 268.95 points.
The 200 medley relay team of Jessica Crawford, Keri Hehn, Sarah Bohlsen, and Jen Power also set a meet record.
The Gophers host Michigan and North Carolina on Friday, November 2 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, November 3 at 12 p.m. at the University Aquatic Center in their second dual match-up of the season.
