WOMEN GOPHERS PLACE FOURTH AT BIG TEN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Dyer, a Moorhead, Minn. native, placed eighth in the five-kilometer race, running a career best time of 17 minutes, 38.7 seconds. Dyer's run is the 12th fastest time ever by a Gopher runner at the Big Ten meet and the sixth-fastest time in school history for a first-year athlete.
Sophomore Darja Vasiljeva came in second for the Gophers, placing 15th overall with a time of 17:52.6. Senior Victoria Moses ran a career best time of 17:58 to place 19th, her highest Big Ten finish ever. Also running career bests were junior Anita Menden (18:13.7) sophomore Krista Anderson (18:14.7) and sophomore Laura Bjork (18:15), who finished 34th, 36th and 37th, respectively. Senior Amy Sas finished 46th overall with a time of 18:26.9, her first career 5K time.
