DYER SELECTED TO ALL-BIG TEN SECOND TEAM

200First-year athlete Lisa Dyer (Moorhead, Minn./Moorhead) was selected to the women's cross country All-Big Ten second team this past weekend at the 2001 Big Ten Championships in Champaign, Illinois on Sunday, October 28.

A native of Moorhead, Minn., Dyer placed first for the Gophers and eighth overall at the Big Ten meet, running a career best time of 17 minutes, 38.7 seconds. Her run is the 12th fastest time ever by a Gopher runner at the Big Ten meet and the sixth-fastest time in school history for a first-year athlete. Dyer has also recorded the13th and 18th fastest times in school history this season in the six-kilometer run.

The Gophers finished fourth at the Big Ten meet with a total of 112 points. Below is a list of the All-Big Ten selections.
