MINNESOTA WOMEN DOMINATE AT WIS.-EAU CLAIRE

comAt the Wisconsin-Eau Claire Invitational on the Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax, Wisconsin, the Gopher women's cross country team took the top nine spots in the 3,000-meter run. Minnesota did not compete for a team title.

Sophomore Darja Vasiljeva finished first in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:35.50 minutes. She was followed by junior Anita Menden (10:44.80), sophomore Laura Bjork (10:47.50), newcomer Zoe Nagel (10:52.20), senior Victoria Moses (10:59.10), sophomore Krista Anderson (11:00.90), newcomer Kim Magee (11:04.80), senior Amy Sas (11:06.30) and junior Crystal Glenn (11:13.20).

In the 5,000-meter run, Minnesota's top finisher was junior Jill Field who placed 21st with a time of 19:03.80. She was followed closely by newcomer Erika Espeset</ a>, who ran for a time of 19:06.40 finishing 22nd.

The Gophers next appearance will be at the Pre-Nationals meet in Greenville, S.C. on Saturday, October 13 at 4 p.m.
