GOLDEN GOPHER SWIMMERS AND DIVERS RANKED EIGHTH NATIONALLY

GophersThe University of Minnesota men's swimming and diving team is ranked eighth nationally in the Pre-NCAA Championship Poll released by the College Swim Coaches Association of America. The Golden Gophers are the highest ranked of six Big Ten Conference schools in the Top 25.
This past weekend the Gophers avenged their only dual loss of last season by downing North Carolina 229-141 at the Aquatic Center. The Golden Gophers also easily defeated North Dakota 254-103 to win their first two duals of 2001-02.
The Golden Gophers will next be in action when they host the Minnesota Invitational, November 16-18.
