MORTIMER NAMED NATIONAL SWIMMER OF THE WEEK

paPhoenix, AZ - Minnesota's Justin Mortimer has been named Collegeswimming.com Division I collegiate swimmer of the week. Mortimer was selected by a panel of collegiate swimming coaches for his performance last week.

Mortimer, who earned a pair of All-America honors last season as a true freshman, was the only athlete to win three individual events, this past weekend during Minnesota's duals with North Carolina and North Dakota, claiming the 400 IM (3:55.50), 500 free (4:28.32) and 1,000 free (9:09.66) titles. The sophomore from Milton, Mass., also led off the Golden Gophers' first-place 800 free relay team.
